The "Programme for the Endorsement of Forest Certification Schemes" (PEFC) is the world's largest independent organisation for the review of sustainable forest management.

As a PEFC partner, we look for a sustainable supply chain where our products can be sourced ecologically, economically and in a socially fair way. As a responsible company, we want to promote environmental protection and ensure the sustainable use of natural resources. This includes the protection of forests against unregulated deforestation, the protection of animal habitats and human living spaces as well as fair working conditions.

Sustainability
The PEFC quality label stands for sustainable, careful and responsible forest management. In this way, our forests will continue to be preserved for future generations as a livelihood, workplace and recreation area

Credibility
PEFC enables the fair participation of all forest owners regardless of the size of their operation and takes into account the diversity of forest ecosystems, cultural heritage and ownership structures, making PEFC the market leader both in Germany and worldwide. No other certification system can refer to a comparably large certified forest area. Thus, PEFC™ guarantees a sufficient supply of wood and wood products from certified sustainably managed forests.

Security of supply
Because PEFC enables the fair participation of all forest owners, regardless of the size of their operation, and takes into account the diversity of forest ecosystems, cultural heritage and ownership structures, PEFC is the market leader both in Germany and worldwide. No other certification system can point to a comparably large certified forest area. PEFC thus guarantees a sufficient supply of wood and wood products from certified sustainably managed forests.

Social standards - in the forest and in the companies
PEFC plays a pioneering role in social standards in particular. PEFC is the first system that integrates social criteria not only in forest certification, but also in product chain certification.

FSC™ – Forest Stewardship Council™

The particularly demanding environmental certificate of the Forest Stewardship™ Council (FSC™) documents the promotion of environmentally friendly, socially beneficial and economically viable forest management.

The Forest Stewardship Council™, better known as FSC™, is an internationally active, non-profit and independent organisation that aims to preserve the world's forests through exemplary forest management. The basis for this is the certification of forests and downstream industries according to globally uniform criteria, in which the FSC™ takes equal account of economic, ecological and social requirements for the resource "forest". The organisation thus promotes the sustainable management of forests on a global level, prevents overexploitation, protects rare species and prevents human rights violations.

Annual inspections of all certified operations ensure the highest level of credibility and transparency. This is why the FSC™ is the only forest certification system supported by environmental and social associations as well as the forestry and timber industry. GREENGUARD Gold:

In the production of building materials, interior furnishings or cleaning agents, organic compounds are used that get into the air and can be harmful to health. 

GREENGUARD certificates, which are particularly well known in the USA, are awarded to products that have low chemical emission levels. This means that the certified products provide a better and healthier indoor climate, as they help to reduce the chemical load in the ambient air. 

The GREENGUARD Gold certification focuses in particular on health-related test criteria and extremely low chemical emission values, so that products tested according to this standard can also be used without any problems in sensitive environments, such as schools, kindergartens or health care facilities. 

The GREENGUARD Environmental Institute is an industry-independent organisation based in Illinois, USA. Its mission is to protect human health and improve the quality of life by improving indoor air quality and reducing human exposure to chemicals and other pollutants.
